On the 21 of October 2013 aTon S.r.L. was born winning an Italian funding programme beloging to the POR-FESR 2007 -2013 programme, published by FI.LA.S. (FInanziaria LAziale di Sviluppo) S.p.A.
the presented project. called greenBag, is focused on the realisatio of an innovative methodology to collect Used Cooking Oils (UCO) from households. The project aims to realise a system composed by three main components:

• a smart bin, called greenBag Tank. This element is able quantify but also to identify the quality of the liquid provided by households. Currently the main problem related to the UCO collection are the lakc of knownledge about the risks and costs related to this waste. This effect affect the citizens behaviour that provide not only exhausted vegetable oils but also mineral oil and othe liquids, increasing the costs for the UCO recycling
• a remote control centre called greenBag C2R. This element represents the core of the infrastructure, it is able to manage all the data running on the grrenBag platform. The greenBag C2R is a web application connected with all the greenBag tanks deployed on the field and it is able to collect and store all the information, concerning the status of the tanks, the level of the liquids inside the tanks, the number of good providing, the amoung of wrong providing, etc., The greenbag C2R is the element of the infrastructure where all the policy related to a circular economy, the one based on a bonus malus approach is implemented
• an App called greenBag App. This element is the people front end of the entire pack of services related to the greenBag platform. Accessing the greenbag App people can:
  
  – Identify the position of the greenBag tanks deployed in field

  – Identify the position of other waste bins related to the collection of used clothes, glass, battery, medicines, etc.

  – Report to the PA situatio related to the urban decor

  – Check the stats related to his/her providings

  – Check a dictionary containing information about the separation of waste. The greenbag App use images, video and texts to help people to better understand how implement waste separation
